The hubbub began mid week when the raw kitchen at Angel's Health Institute became ground zero for the makings of a 300 person, sit down, wedding reception dinner for Matt Monarch & Angela Stokes.
The brainchildren behind the first 3 day Raw Union Festival, Matt & Angela held court over the celebration around their wedding which included a main stage, vendors, camping, healers, speakers, workshops, demos and assorted treats and goodies.

Richard Helmsley from Sacramento was our favorite vendor beside Angel's Booth. He kept us happy, fed and entertained all festival. Super dad also looked after his two gorgeous little girls all weekend.
And, of course, Chocolate. Chocolate here, chocolate there, chocolate everywhere.
Peggy McDonnell & Ken Brown (owners of Angel's Health Institute) hosted a pre-festival welcome party on Friday night in the courtyard.
Although Saturday maintained a cool gray cast, the mood was not dampened for the vendors and speakers that were sprinkled in among the picture perfect landscape of Angel's Health Institute's landscape.

Angel's General Store was packed with products from Matt Monarch's Raw Food World virtual store.
Assorted vendors sold everything from encapsulated ground Deer Antlers to subtle energy enhanced minerals to henna applications to fresh durian and raw fruit crepes.

The volunteers came through with flying colors, especially the kitchen volunteers. There was no break for these tireless, selfless folk that started at 7 am and finished up around midnight every day. Special kudos to head chef, Solla and wedding cake creator, Chaya.

The sun shone through the flat sky on Sunday for the wedding ceremony as though on cue.
David Wolfe ministered the event, after a few talented speakers, musicians and one incredible opera singer, Chef Michelle, initiated the ceremony.
The whole thing came off without a hitch. It was a miracle really, that something so grand and magnificent was only planned within a few short months.
